This 100% original Stratocaster was made during the golden age of Fender Japan production at the Fujigen factory, part of the \"Order Made\" program which represented a sort of custom shop for Fender Japan with non-catalog finish and component options.The all original electronics include a trio of ceramic magnet pickups which have more cut and authority than alnico single coils. Via the five-way switch, there's a broad range of Strat tones on hand, from sparkling snap in the bridge position to more bell-like, round sounds at the neck. The guitar is lightweight at 7lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike \u0026amp; Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.The maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges with a hair more heft and substance as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .845\" deep at the 1st fret and .965\" at the 12th. On the thick dark slab rosewood fretboard, the original vintage-spec frets are flawless with a 7 1\/4\" fretboard radius. The guitar plays well up the 25 1\/2\" scale with a straight neck. The nut measures 1.665\" in width (just shy of 1 11\/16\"), carved from bone for optimal note clarity and sustain. The Burgundy Mist-finished headstock is fitted with Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines that turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should. The \"Made in Japan\" text and N-prefix serial are present above the four-bolt neck plate.All of the electronics work as intended, and the trio of ceramic magnet single coil pickups are wired to the original harness. The vibrato has a full-size block for optimal sustain, and the guitar has clean chrome plating on the bridge base with light patina across the Fender-embossed bridge saddles. Plastics include a mint green three-ply pickguard and uniformly aged knobs and switch tip. The Burgundy Mist gloss finish shows a few scattered minor dings on the back and lower bout body edge, with a pair of small finish scratches on the lower bout on the back, and a small finish chip on the treble-side waist. The neck profile gloss is lightly ambered and clean.","brand":"Fender","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":42205840408832,"sku":"N069890","price":1499.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0550\/4437\/4714\/products\/medium_48fbc3a4-4595-4070-93eb-90aca2f408ee.jpg?v=1751501286","url":"https:\/\/mmguitarbar.com\/products\/1996-fender-stratocaster-62-vintage-reissue-st62-73-order-made-burgundy-mist-japan-mij-fujigen","provider":"Mike \u0026 Mike's Guitar Bar","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
