Up for sale, a 1995 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original tweed hardshell case and hangtags. Crafted at Fender’s Corona, CA factory, this Stratocaster boasts traditional tonewoods including an alder body, maple neck, and a slab rosewood fingerboard, weighing 8lbs 4oz.
The trio of pickups feature black fiber bobbins and cloth-covered leads for a range of ‘60s-flavored Strat tonalities. The original 57/62 single coils in the neck and middle positions offer a clear, woody cut and bell-like chime, while the substituted Seymour Duncan SSL-2 in the bridge position (virtually identical in materials and tonal intent) features flush-mount Alnico V magnets for a smooth response that yields treble sparkle and round, defined single notes. This American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
