Manufactured by Tokai, this premium iteration of Guyatone's LG-350T platform is a supreme example of fine craftsmanship mixed with unique surf-inspired design. The LG-2100M offers a number of modern, player-friendly features when compared to its '60s counterparts including Gotoh 510 tuners, a very smooth Strat-style vibrato, and heel-less set-neck construction.The German Carved elongated Mosrite-influenced body, trio of single coil pickups, and vibrato system reflect just how deeply the Ventures surf craze reverberated within the Japanese market at the time. Tonally, this LG-2100M delivers smooth single coil snap with lots of body and sweetness. There’s an upper midrange cut in the bridge position, and a bold, sparkling quality with the neck pickup singled out. The three-way switch functions as follows: Bridge+Middle, All Pickups, Neck, and the middle pickup acts as more of a thickening agent in the two settings in which it's engaged. This Guyatone weighs 9lbs 7oz, balancing well on a strap and professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and effortless playability.The easy-playing C-shaped neck profile carve has a fast feel with full shoulders and ideal substance, measuring .810” deep at the 1st fret and .915” at the 12th. The multi-ply bound ebony fretboard features mini star inlay and original flawless medium jumbo frets which have their full factory height and plenty of meat with perfectly rounded crowns. The guitar plays cleanly in all registers up the 24 3\/4“ scale, with set neck construction and easy access to the highest frets with a heel-less design. The roller nut measures 1 11\/16\" in width. The bound headstock retains the original metal Guyatone \"1994\" truss rod cover, with a large gold \"5\" on the headstock face. The gold Gotoh 510 tuners have a particularly smooth and reliable response, offering optimal stability even with liberal vibrato use.Electronically everything works as it should, with a three-position pickup selector switch and knurled gold Master Volume and Tone knobs to govern the three single coil pickups. The Strat-style bridge is a two-point design with roller saddles. The vibrato has a very smooth response, and the gold plating shows just a touch of surface patina on the vibrato's forward edge (a vibrato arm is not included).The distinctive deep German Carve on the top paired with cream top binding is another not-so-subtle nod to Mosrite, and the Sharp 5 captures a far out '60s zeitgeist like few guitars do. The deep purple two-ply pickguard follows the body's extreme contours with a wide edge bevel, and the original gloss finish is a rich metalflake blue with densely packed sparkles. The protective clear factory film is still intact on the pickguard and tremolo cavity cover, a testament to the sparingly little use this guitar has seen in the better part of three decades, and cosmetic wear is limited to a couple tiny dings on the back and a touch of scuffing in the clear coat on the back lower bout body edge.A gigbag is included.","brand":"Guyatone","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":42250892181760,"sku":"9603003","price":2099.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0550\/4437\/4714\/products\/medium_d17a6adb-3b01-46b3-a09e-40af425adbd7.jpg?v=1751496511","url":"https:\/\/mmguitarbar.com\/products\/1994-guyatone-lg-2100m-mk-iii-sharp-5-electric-guitar-lg-350t-japan","provider":"Mike \u0026 Mike's Guitar Bar","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
