Up for sale, a 1994 Gibson Les Paul Classic Premium Plus in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and owner’s manual. The highest-tiered iteration of the Les Paul Classic platform, the Premium Plus is elevated above other Classics with its hand-selected AAA flame maple top. Features include a vintage-spec nickel-plated ABR-1 bridge and stopbar, push-in tuner bushings, and a slender 1960-style neck profile. This particular Les Paul Classic Premium Plus was originally sold in Japan by Gibson USA's distributor, Yamano. The Yamano instruments are often considered among Gibson's best, featuring the highest quality woods hand-picked for Gibson's discerning Japanese audience.

Lightweight for a Les Paul at 8lbs 15oz, this Gibson features traditional tonewoods including the carved two-piece maple cap, mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. The 496R humbucker in the neck position produces incredible sustain and cutting power, offering accentuated highs with increased definition, perfectly tailored for high gain scenarios. The 500T bridge position humbucker is one of Gibson’s most powerful pickups, containing a three ceramic magnet structure which enables a no-holds-barred rock and roll crunch that never loses its rich combination of enhanced lows and crystal clear highs. This Les Paul Classic Premium Plus benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Heritage Cherry Sunburst nitro lacquer finish highlights the very tight, consistent and dimensional curly flame figuring that extends liberally across the carved AAA maple top. There is faint buckle wear on the bass-side edge of the back and just a few small marks on the body as a whole. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
