Up for sale, a 1994 Fender Order Made Precision Bass model PB62 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The Order Made program functioned as a sort of Fender Japan custom shop, offering non-catalog features and finishes. This particular Precision Bass is an early attempt by Fender Japan to capture the ‘80s Steve Harris/Iron Maiden aesthetic, with a bright blue finish and a mirrored pickguard (albeit with a rosewood fretboard).
Lightweight at 8lbs 1oz, this bass has great natural punch and sustain, providing an ideal platform for the split-coil pickup. Plugged in, this PB62 delivers fundamental breadth and thump, with sweet trebles and warm growl, particularly wide and smooth with the Tone knob rolled back. This Order Made Precision Bass PB62 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Slender C, measuring .815” 1st fret, .980” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 7 1/4” vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Slender, no wear
-Scale Length: 34”
-Nut: 1.650” (42mm), bone (replacement)
-Tuners: Clover buttons
-Serialization: “Made in Japan,” Q-prefix
-Factory Markings: Order Made stamps/handwritten model info on neck pocket/heel
Body Specs:
-Pickups: PB-Vintage split-coil x1
-Controls: Volume, Tone
-Hardware: Bridge with steel barrel saddles, flat-top knurled knobs
-Plastics: Mirrored pickguard
The gloss custom color Lake Placid Blue finish is notably well-saturated and vibrant, with a couple finish chips of note along the lower bout perimeter, and some minor dings and light finish scratches on the body. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
A padded gigbag is included.
