Up for sale, a 1994 Fender American Vintage ‘57 Stratocaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, 100% original save for a five-way switch and complete with the original hangtags and tweed hardshell case. Discontinued years ago, this is an early Corona, CA example of the American Vintage Stratocaster model, featuring a custom color nitro lacquer Fiesta Red finish.
Weighing 7lbs 8oz, tonewoods include an alder body and a one-piece maple neck, with a balanced, clear acoustic response. The American Vintage 57/62 single coils feature staggered, beveled pole pieces, black fiber bobbins, and cloth-covered leads, yielding a bouncy snap and sparkle at the bridge, a round, bell-like quality at the neck with fatness ideal for lead work, and a slinky cut at the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector switch.
