Up for sale, a 1993 Gibson Les Paul Standard in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. 100% original save for a set of properly spec'd Kluson tuning machines, this Les Paul was produced during what is increasingly known as the "Good Wood Era," featuring traditional tonewoods including a mahogany body with a carved two-piece maple top, one-piece mahogany neck, and a bound rosewood fretboard.
Via the original 490R and 498T humbucker pair, the guitar has plenty of power on tap, and these alnico magnet pickups cover a wide tonal range. The 490R is Gibson's Modern Classic humbucker, featuring Alnico II magnets and similar in its response to a PAF, yet with more midrange emphasis. The 498T Hot Alnico bridge position pickup has Alnico V magnets, with plenty of muscle and growl, well-suited for high gain scenarios. Weighing a hearty 11lbs 4oz, this Les Paul has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

There is a shallow, professionally repaired split on the back of the headstock extending along the mounting screws for the treble-side tuning machines. Not to be confused with a typical repair at the headstock, this very tight repair in the mahogany is slight, short and does not extend to the peghead face.
The gloss Vintage Sunburst nitro lacquer finish exhibits subtle checking on top, and cosmetic wear includes buckle rash across the back and some dings and scuffs on the body as a whole, most prominent along the lower bout perimeter. The neck profile retains its smooth nitro gloss, with sime shallow nicks along the profile length that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
The original brown tolex Gibson USA hardshell case is included; the central locking latch is not functional.
