Up for sale, a 1993 Fender Stratocaster '62 vintage reissue model ST62-53 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Featuring the "Made in Japan" designation and produced at the Fujigen factory, this model is rarely seen outside its country of origin. If you're looking to deliver plenty of Strat sparkle and cut, it's hard to beat this particular ceramic pickup compliment. The guitar has a lively, balanced acoustic tone, and the pickups have more punch and power than the more common alnico pickups, sounding distinct and clear in all positions on the five-way switch. Featherweight at 7lbs 2oz, we've had this Strat professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and strung with fresh 10-46 strings, dialed in for low action and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a modestly chunky medium C profile carve with round, inviting shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .855" deep at the 1st fret and .980" at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard is an extremely dark and tight-grained cut of this particular tonewood with a traditional 7 1/4" fretboard radius and original slender frets that retain their full factory height and well-rounded crowns, showing sparingly little wear. The guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale length with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock features a traditional small Pre-CBS Strat shape with Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines that have the correct vintage look, turn smoothly, and hold pitch well. The "Made in Japan" text and Q-prefix serial number are present above the four-bolt neck plate.

All of the electronics work as they should, and the ceramic pickups have more punch than the usual alnico variety. The vibrato has a large block for great sustain, and the unit is very responsive for smooth surfy warbles and deeper dives, jumping back into tune with ease. The chrome hardware is quite clean save for light patina on the bridge saddles, and the plastic parts are in great shape too. The gloss three-tone Sunburst finish is exceedingly clean save for some finish chips and dings on the lower bout body edge and one indentation on top at the bass-side waist. The neck profile gloss is lightly ambered and flawless.

The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
