Up for sale, a 1992 Gibson J-200 Junior in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original softshell case. Only produced for a handful of years in the ‘90s, this rare Bozeman-made Gibson acoustic pairs the premium marquetry and tonewoods of Gibson’s top-of-the-line J-200 with the slightly scaled-down body of a J-185 for a “best of both worlds” jumbo.
Tonewoods include a spruce top, curly maple back and sides, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Tonally, this J-200 Junior really does capture a blend of J-200 power and punch with terrific immediacy and articulation via the longer scale length and marginally smaller body. The low end is taut and bouncy, and the treble strings have a lively chop and smooth brassy growl. And with over three decades to open up, the top delivers a relaxed woody quality. This J-200 Junior weighs 4lbs 13oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple (two-piece)
-Shape: Round C (chunky, 50s-style), measuring .915” 1st fret, .965” 9th fret

The nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
