Up for sale, a 1992 Fender Custom Shop 1962 Jazz Bass in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This Jazz Bass is a very early Custom Shop example when “Custom Shop” represented the absolute highest tier of production, crafted in tiny quantities by a select team at Fender’s Corona, CA factory. Exceedingly faithful to a genuine vintage example from 1962, period-correct touches including long-stem, reverse-geared tuning machines, threaded saddles, black bobbin pickups, and vintage-accurate plastics.
Traditional tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this Jazz Bass weighs 9lbs. This bass can deliver plenty of growl, burp, and treble presence via the single coil pair. The signal is throaty and punchy with the Tone knob rolled off and the neck pickup favored, or dial up the bridge pickup for a more midrange forward tone. This Custom Shop Jazz Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The original brown tolex hardshell case is included.
