Up for sale, a 1991 Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom LPC in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Differentiated from the standard Orville-branded instruments, the "Orville by Gibson" guitars represented the highest tier of Japanese construction, outfitted from the factory with USA-made Gibson pickups. Made exclusively for the Japanese market and uncommon outside its country of origin, this Orville is an official Gibson-licensed guitar and a result of a partnership between Gibson USA and their Japanese distributor Yamano Gakki. Named after Gibson's founder, Orville Gibson, this discontinued Orville model was crafted at the Terada factory.
Lightweight at 8lbs 9oz, this guitar features a solid mahogany body and neck, carved maple top, long tenon neck joint, and a rosewood fretboard. The 490R humbucker in the neck position is what Gibson describes as their "Modern PAF," offering a rich, dynamic quality with enhanced midrange emphasis. The 498T humbucker at the bridge is wound particularly hot, focused and snarling with punchy upper-midrange aggression. This Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Alpine White finish has aged to a rich cream hue on the top and neck profile in particular, and cosmetic wear includes buckle rash on the back and some minor dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole. The neck is free of palm wear with just a few shallow marks on the profile length.
A padded gigbag is included.
