This particular Les Paul Custom was ordered by Gibson’s Japanese distributor Yamano; Gibson’s USA-made guitars distributed via Yamano are often considered to be among their absolute best, featuring the highest quality woods picked for Gibson’s discerning Japanese audience.

Traditional tonewoods include a mahogany body, two-piece carved maple top, mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard, and this Les Paul Custom weighs 9lbs 10oz. The natural acoustic tone offers punch, detail and ample sustain, qualities that translate well via the ‘57 Classic PAF humbuckers. These medium-wind pickups have spongy lows, detailed treble growl, and a midrange scoop that interacts well with high gain.
