Up for sale, a 1991 Fender Stratocaster model ST500-V in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, with a custom color Sherwood Green Metallic finish. Made at the famed Fujigen factory, this early Fender Japan Stratocaster is a unique, rare model, taking the '57 Strat platform and modernizing it with a 22 fret fingerboard and Gotoh tuning machines.
Tonewoods include an alder body and maple neck, and this Strat weighs 7lbs 13oz. The trio of Alnico single coil pickups deliver quintessential Stratocaster tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch, with chewy twang at the bridge, bell-like fullness at the neck, and hollow quack at the “in-between” positions. This ST500-VR has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
