Up for sale, a 1991 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with case candy and every original hangtag, along with the tweed hardshell case.
Discontinued years ago, this early Corona, CA example of the American Vintage Stratocaster model features a naturally yellowed Olympic White nitro lacquer gloss finish, loaded with Fender’s 57/62 black bobbin single coils. Wound to vintage-spec with staggered alnico magnets and push-back, cloth-covered leads, this Strat can sparkle and quack with the best via the three-way pickup selector. Whether it's the clear sparkle of the bridge position, the extra warmth and bell-like chime that comes from the neck single coil, or the thinned-out cut via the "in between" positions on the switch, this Strat is simply a delight to play. The instrument is very resonant acoustically as well, weighing 7lbs 9oz with an alder body. This Strat has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, dialed in with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss nitro lacquer Olympic White finish shows additional yellowing beyond the factory shade, also smelling lightly of cigarette smoke. There is one finish scratch on top just north of the tremolo with a few additional fainter marks on top on the lower bout. There is very subtle texturing in the clear coat between the neck plate and tremolo cavity, a spot of wear through the yellowed clear coat down to the white color coat long the treble side body edge, and a couple darker spots along the bass-side body edge where the case lining has subtly interacted with the clear coat (buffed smooth). The ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
The original tweed hardshell case is included, along with a full suite of hangtags and case candy.
