Up for sale, a 1988 DOD FX25B Envelope Filter pedal in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A funky, shimmering envelope filter; the FX25B delivers warbles and underwater wah-wah weirdness alike. It’s a versatile, since-discontinued pedal that has appeared on the pedalboards of musicians like Bootsy Collins and Wes Borland.
The user-friendly controls lend themselves to experimentation, with Blend, Sensitivity, and Range knobs. Blend controls wet/dry mix, Sensitivity adjusts how much user input is required to set off the effect, and range affects the movement of the envelope’s sweep. Rolling off Range leads to more low-end sweep, and cranking it up sweeps the high end.
This USA-made DOD is built like a tank, with a few minor chips in the metallic teal finish. It retains the original trio of knobs and boasts clean graphics.
