Up for sale, a 1987 Marshall JCM800 model 4211 2x12” combo amplifier in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a two-button footswitch. This JCM800 (essentially a combo version of the 2210 circuit, itself a more “modern” reimagining of the 2203 platform) is a single input, two-channel design with built-in Reverb, a Master Volume, and the ability to dial in rich, roaring gain with channel switching and footswitchable Reverb. This amp lives up to the promise of the JCM800’s power, thick crunch, and ripping treble cut.

The circuit is 100% original save for a few replacement pots, and the amp has been given a thorough once-over by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. The original Dagnall power and output transformers are present, along with the Drake-made choke, and the inspection sticker on the side of the chassis is dated 2/11/87. The amp features a quad of Electro Harmonix EL34 power tubes, with all modern valves in the preamp as well. This combo is loaded with the original pair of Celestion G12T-75 speakers, with KV-prefix stamps on the speaker frames that date to October, 1987.

The amp features its original black tolex and black grill framed by white piping and fitted with a vintage-spec replacement Marshall logo. There’s light wear on the enclosure, and the faceplate is quite clean, fitted with a combination of original and replacement knobs. The original plastic corners and handles are present, along with the handle which is missing one cap.

A two-button footswitch is included.
