Up for sale, a 1982 Marshall JCM800 model 4210 head conversion in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a two-button footswitch. This amp began its life as a 4210 combo, now fitted in a custom-made head enclosure and essentially converted into a model 2205. One of the first Marshalls to feature the pre-phase inverter Master Volume circuit, this JCM800 allows the preamp to saturate and deliver searing crunch at club-friendly volumes. Of course the amp really excels when dialing up both the preamp gain and volume for ripping Marshall roar.

The circuit is extremely original and only serviced as strictly necessary to maintain optimal performance, with a few new electrolytics and a bevy of original Wima signal caps. The original Drake transformers are all present, and the inspection chart on the chassis has a handwritten 15-3-82 test date. The amp features a new pair of freshly biased GrooveTubes E34L-S power tubes, with matching GrooveTubes ECC83 (12AX7) preamp tubes as well. The reverb tank has been replaced with a MOD Electronics 4FB3A1B two-spring long tank.

The modern head cab is near mint, and the original faceplate has clean graphics and original barrel knobs.

A two-button footswitch is included, offering Channel switching and Reverb on/off functionality.
