Produced in Japan at the Matsumoku factory, this Casino is an uncommon and early Epiphone reissue produced decades before the “Elitist” line was introduced, and is notable for its full 1 11/16" nut width (a surprisingly uncommon feature on many Casino reissues).

This guitar's fully hollow thinline maple body has a bold and bright tone, capturing both the clear note attack of maple as a tonewood and the warmth of the hollow construction. The Maxon-made P-90 pickups deliver plenty of midrange bark, with a glassy, percussive quality and broad low-end growl. Featherweight at 6lbs 4oz, this Casino has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple (three-piece)
-Shape: Very slender C, measuring .765” 1st fret, 1.020” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, pearloid parallelogram inlay
-Frets: Medium jumbo, no wear
-Scale Length: 24 3/4"
-Nut: 1 11/16”, bone
-Tuners: “E” Epsilon-stamped
-Serialization: 2-prefix dates to 1982

Body Specs:

-Wood: Maple
-Pickups: P-90 x2 (Maxon-made)
-Electronics: Volume x2, Tone x2, Three-way pickup selector
-Hardware: ABR-1 bridge, trapeze tailpiece, dogear pickup covers
-Plastics: Gold reflector cap knobs (tone knobs replaced)
-Label: White rectangle

The gloss Tobacco Sunburst finish highlights birdseye figuring in the maple on the top and back.
