Up for sale, a 1980s Greco SA-64-70 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Crafted at the Fujigen factory during the Mint Collection era of Greco production, this “Super Real Project” Greco is a faithful recreation of an early ‘60s ES-335, featuring a long tenon neck joint, a pair of Maxon-made PAF-style humbuckers, nickel-plated vintage-spec hardware, and a gloss Sunburst finish.

Tonewoods include a semi-hollow maple body (maple centerblock), mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fretboard, and this SA-64-70 weighs 7lbs 14oz. The pickups have been substituted for an earlier set, manufactured by Maxon in 1979 and utilized in Greco-branded ES-style models. These PAF-style humbuckers are surprisingly faithful approximations of their vintage Gibson counterparts, dynamically responsive with a nice upper midrange detail and growl in the bridge position, and a sweet, woody cut at the neck. This SA-64-70 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Sunburst finish highlights subtle birdseye figuring in the maple, and cosmetic wear includes limited pick wear on top, faint buckle rash on the back, and some small marks on the body as a whole.
