Up for sale, a 1980 DOD Envelope Filter 440 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box. The 440 was one of the first commercially available envelope filter pedals on the market. A simple, very effective, lush-sounding filter, the 440 is a true classic, delivering a rich, pronounced filter sweep while retaining great sensitivity to picking dynamics. There’s a pronounced vocal-like midrange funk to this pedal, and the 440 is perhaps most famous for its usage by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood on “Paranoid Android.”
The circuit is 100% original, the CTS pots date to the 27th week of 1980, and the serialized label is present on the interior of the baseplate. The blue enclosure is built like a tank, with just a handful of minor scuffs around the edges of the pedal. The graphics are clean, and the original knobs are present.
The original box is included, along with a vintage DOD sticker.
