Up for sale, a 1978 Greco HR680 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. This rare “lawsuit” era Greco is an exceedingly faithful recreation of a Gibson Howard Roberts Custom, featuring a fully hollow white sycamore body with Florentine cutaway, a “Special Design” floating humbucker, and gloss Wine Red finish.

The hollowbody construction results in an exceptionally responsive instrument acoustically, balancing lively immediacy and airy warmth, and this HR680 weighs 7lbs 4oz. The “Special Design” floating humbucker is firmly wound in the PAF camp, sweet and well-defined with a touch of natural growl and a smoothness further accentuated by the 12-52 flatwound strings. Just like on the original Howard Roberts Custom, this HR680 also features passive independent Treble and Bass/Mid Choke EQ knobs, enabling significant tone sculpting. This HR680 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with low action and accurate intonation.

The gloss Wine Red finish is framed by multi-ply binding, and cosmetic wear is limited to a couple tiny dings on the rims and a handful of faint scratches. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless, and there is a small repair below the low E tuning machine on the back of the headstock.

A brown tolex hardshell case is included.
