Up for sale, a 1978 Fender Mustang in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Featuring the fairly uncommon cosmetic combination of a yellowed Olympic White gloss finish paired with black plastics, this vintage example features an ash body, maple neck, and dark rosewood fretboard.
There's plenty of snap, snarl, and cut available from this Mustang, and the ash body ensures a certain midrange authority and note attack, while the rosewood board tempers high treble frequencies. For chiming traditional single coil bite or the model's classic out-of-phase sound, this Mustang is an articulate and clear-sounding Fender that's simply a ton of fun to play. The original black tolex hardshell case with red plush interior is included and in great shape with functional latches, the original handle, and raised Fender logo on the case exterior. The black leather case ends are very well-kept, and even the snapping neck retainer is intact.
