Up for sale, a 1974 Rickenbacker 4001 complete with a hardshell case. Featuring neck-through maple body construction, this Rickenbacker is a cosmetically unique example with a bold Fireglo gloss finish paired with original black plastics. The pickups include a Lollar Horseshoe pickup in the bridge position and a later (circa 1990s) Hi-Gain at the neck.
The Horseshoe channels the best Rickenbacker tones of the 1960s, with real chrome-plated horseshoe magnets and Alnico slug pole pieces for improved string-to-string balance and enhanced clarity and fidelity. This bass yields great power, detail and presence strung with fresh 45-100 roundwound strings. A modern black tolex hardshell case is included.
