Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Mustang in excellent condition, complete with the original hardshell case and featuring a marbled bowling ball finish. Retaining original hardware, electronics and plastics, the body-only refinish is top-tier work, high gloss and pure psychedelia.
A bold, snappy-sounding Mustang with an alder body, the gray bobbin single coils offer plenty of jangle and sparkling cut, with a round, fuller sound in the neck position and more punchy growl at the bridge. These particular pickups also have a notably full midrange response, with an almost vocal-like pronounced vowel quality. Engaging the on/off/on pickup switches in their outermost or innermost settings delivers the Mustang's spanky out-of-phase setting. This Mustang weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
