1971 Fender Deluxe Reverb Vintage Silverface Tube Amp Near Mint w/ Ftsw

Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 1971 Fender Deluxe Reverb in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original footswitch and a bevy of vintage tubes. 100% original save for a recap of the power supply, this early Silverface Fender is one of the last to feature a "tail" on the Fender badge, also retaining the same black footswitch as its earlier Black Panel era compatriots.

This amp excels at delivering sparkling, detailed cleans with great headroom, and the lush reverb accentuates the chiming, smooth treble response. Both channels sound distinct and strong, and turning things up past 5 on the Volume dial introduces glassy overdriven textures and a touch of compression. It's everything you could want from a vintage Fender amp.

The circuit boasts all of the original Schumacher-made transformers that date to 1971. The preamp retains all of the original blue and brown molded signal caps, and the power supply has been recapped as needed to ensure optimal performance. The CTS pots have visible date codes from the 32nd week of '71.

The original Oxford 12L6 12" speaker has an extremely clean black frame, blue foil Fender label on the ceramic magnet, original speaker cone, and dated sticker from the 40th week of '71. The tube chart is intact on the inside of the cabinet as well, practically pristine with crisp corners (there is some writing on the chart from when 6L6 power tubes were substituted). The tube complement includes a new pair or properly biased 6V6 power tubes, a vintage RCA 5U4 rectifier, and vintage preamp tubes from the likes of RCA and Sylvania.

Cosmetically, this amp is exceedingly clean as the photos can attest, with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with bright turquoise stripe. There's one spot of wear through the tolex on the lower edge of the face of the amp, while the faceplate positively gleams with its near mint turquoise text and full complement of witch hat knobs. All of the stock hardware is present, with minty handle caps, chassis straps, logo, and sphinx glides (feet).

The original black two-button footswitch is included.
