This tape echo has been freshly serviced here at Mike \u0026amp; Mike's Guitar Bar and is studio-ready.This Japanese-made tape delay is the precursor to the esteemed RE-201 Space Echo. Save for offering five inputs, the controls are identical to the RE-201, with the tape transport being one notable difference (the unit is complete with its correct Sony Endless Tape cartridge). Featuring 11 selectable modes, this early tape echo is incredibly versatile with a sound of its own. All tape heads were cleaned and everything runs exactly as it should with a low noise floor and lush, detailed repeats. And while this unit was originally wired for 100V for use in Japan, the stock transformer also has a 120V tap, which has been connected so that the unit now runs on USA-friendly 120V power.This RE-200 is cosmetically stunning, with smooth black tolex, stock handle and latches on the exterior, and a full complement of original knobs.
