Up for sale, a 1970's Korg MS-20 vintage synthesizer in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This synth is remarkably well-kept and thoroughly tested here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, with all pots and jacks cleaned, and all functions operating as intended.
Released in 1978, the Korg MS-20 was an instant classic that would turn up in much of the synth-pop, fusion, and film music of the ’80s and ’90s. The MS-20 offers a thick, robust sound, with a powerful, iconic analog filter and versatile patching options.
The MS-20 is semi-modular, meaning it has normalled pathways that give you immediate sonic gratification with no patching required. But in true modular fashion, it also has patch points; so when you’re in the mood to roll up your sleeves, you can dive into creative sound design. Inserting a patch cord (ten are included) into the jack associated with any hardwired control interrupts that internal connection, letting you create an entirely new signal path to suit your needs. As a programming aid, the MS-20's panel graphics clearly display the available signal routings, while providing insight into the instrument’s architecture.
