Tonally authoritative and clear when strummed acoustically, the articulate natural response of the instrument is channeled through the original T Tops humbuckers, with a chiming, dynamic treble snap, midrange-rich growl, and low end that is fat yet clear. The tone has both the airy and warm qualities of its semi-hollowbody construction, offering the immediate attack and dynamic responsiveness of maple as a tonewood and the body's solid center block. The guitar weighs 7lbs 11oz. Professionally setup here at Mike \u0026amp; Mike's Guitar Bar and strung with 10-46 strings, this ES-335TD has spot-on intonation and slinky action.\n\nThe one-piece mahogany neck has a profile carve unique to late '60s Gibsons, with a more slender C shape at the nut and significant shoulder and heft as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .830\" deep at the 1st fret and .985\" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard boasts small block inlays, and the original wide\/flat Gibson fretwire still has decent meat, showing just a touch of wear beneath the G and B strings on frets 1-4. The guitar plays cleanly in every register with a straight neck and responsive, ideally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 9\/16\" in width, and the headstock is fitted with the original set of double line double ring Kluson Deluxe tuning machines.\n\nAll of the electronics work as they should, and both humbuckers have untouched solder on the covers and original patent stickers on the baseplates. The original chrome pickup covers, patent number ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic bridge, and trapeze tailpiece have gleaming plating, and all plastic parts are very tidy as well including the pickguard and quartet of witch hat knobs with uncommon gold inserts (Gibson played fast and loose with chrome vs gold inserts on their knobs in this era, and numerous examples exist with this pairing). The orange oval Gibson Kalamazoo, MI label is also intact inside the body and extremely clean. \n\nCosmetically, this guitar is a real stunner, and the gloss Sunburst finish is a rich shade, exhibiting just enough vibrancy in the central ring of the burst and saturated deep brownish-red edges. Tight curly maple figuring also extends across the top, most concentrated adjacent to the knobs on the lower bout. There is prominent lacquer checking across the guitar, and wear is otherwise limited to a few faint finish scratches, a tiny bit of finish chipping at the back bound body edge, and a few minor, isolated nicks. The neck profile shows palm wear central to the profile carve through the nitro gloss behind frets 2-8, and wear on the profile is otherwise quite limited save for lacquer checking.\n\nThe original black tolex hardshell case with purple plush interior is included. The case features original, functional latches, the stock handle, and a silkscreened silver Gibson logo on the exterior.","brand":"Gibson","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":39732228587706,"sku":"rev-40476376","price":7499.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0550\/4437\/4714\/products\/medium_b7c2cd2a-aee0-41ea-89be-043cad4e9477.jpg?v=1751561839","url":"https:\/\/mmguitarbar.com\/products\/1968-gibson-es-335td-vintage-electric-guitar-sunburst-100-original-w-t-tops-case","provider":"Mike \u0026 Mike's Guitar Bar","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
