Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Mustang in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, finished in Dakota Red nitro lacquer and complete with a G&G hardshell case. Smooth and clear-sounding acoustically, this Mustang has an authoritative and snappy natural quality that translates well through the pair of black bobbin single coils. The bridge pickup has plenty of jangle and sparkling cut, while the neck pickup has more warmth and sweetness, retaining a defined overall character. One of the most fun sounds on the Mustang is the out-of-phase setting, engaged when both on/off/on pickup selector switches are at their innermost or outermost points for a distinctive quack and spank. This Mustang weighs 7lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Dakota Red finish exhibits subtle checking, with most of the wear generally concentrated along the body perimeter and on the back, including buckle rash through the finish and several small chips. The neck profile has a worn-in, easy-playing feel, with light palm wear along the shoulders and a few shallow marks along the profile length that have been buffed smooth through play.
A modern G&G tweed hardshell case is included.
