Up for sale, a 1963 Gibson J-200 in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Well-kept and crack-free, this Gibson Jumbo has been converted with a compensated bone saddle (the original ABR-1 bridge is included), closely mirroring the aesthetics and tonal properties of the J-200 used extensively by Jimmy Page on Led Zeppelin I.

The model described by Gibson as "King of the Flat-tops" is truly an impressive instrument, and few acoustic instruments can match the sheer projection and power of a J-200. With a lower bout that's 17" in width, and a body depth of over 4 1/2", the tone of this particular Gibson Jumbo is extremely bold, full and even-sounding, with equal presence and power afforded each string. The flame maple back and rims ensure a strong note attack and treble detail, and this particular J-200 is notably crisp and punchy, with a rich, harmonically-dense midrange and terrific bloom when notes ring out. The addition of a piezo active undersaddle pickup improves on-stage functionality, with discrete Volume and Tone wheels at the soundhole. Weighing 5lbs 14oz, this J-200 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with bronze 12-53 strings and easy-playing action.

The gloss Cherry Sunburst nitro lacquer finish is 100% original with no touch-up or overspray, exhibiting extensive checking and highlighting curly flame figuring in the maple, particularly dynamic on the back. There are a few small dings on top at the lower bout edge and just a few faint finish scratches on the body. The neck profile gloss highlights deep tiger maple figuring, free of palm wear.

A vintage, era-correct hardshell case is included (non-original), along with all of the original bridge, nut, bridge pins and fretwire.
