Along with the Twin, the Showman was the flagship of the early 1960s Fender tube amp lineup, featuring a whopping 80+ watts of power (via a matched quartet of JAN/Philips 6L6GC power tubes), and boasting Fender's unique "Harmonic Vibrato" circuit.

Clean, clear and powerful, yet with a richness and full-bodied tonal character indicative of Fender's Brown Panel era circuits, the Showman can throw an incredible amount of sound via its JBL D130F speaker. The perfect middle ground between the dynamic, saturated tones of the earlier Tweed era amps and the clarity and shimmering cleans of the later Black Panel line, this Showman has a very warm and nuanced sound, with absolutely giant transformers that keep the low end thick and focused. Perfect for guitar, bass, or keyboards, this is a versatile setup that pairs well with just about anything from the era.

The Tone Ring speaker cabinet is an ingenious design, engineered to deliver the clearest, most pure Fender tone via a JBL D130F speaker, and as such utilizes a dual baffle board design in which the speaker floats between the baffles, mounted to a metal "tone ring." This design makes the cabinet work as a closed back, ported enclosure and you'll notice greater range of your EQ controls, ample bass response, and an overall sweeter, balanced tone that you simply can't get with any other Fender cabinet. The JBL has been professionally reconed.

The circuit is very original and recently serviced, with all of the original Schumacher-made transformers, including the highly desirable 125A4A output transformer (the legendary "Dick Dale" transformer). The circuit retains the majority of the original blue Ajax capacitors, along with a couple modern SoZos. All of the original Stackpole pots are present, and the preamp features new smaller electrolytics to ensure optimal reliability. The power supply has also been professionally recapped with high quality Sprague Atoms, and the power cable is a modern three-prong. Tubes include a matched quartet of JAN/Philips 6L6GC power tubes, with RCA and GE-branded valves in the preamp.

The speaker cab features the original JBL D130 15" speaker, mounted in the stock tone ring, with original dual baffles and insulation foam. Inside the head cabinet, the tube chart is intact, noting the 6G14-A circuit, and while it doesn't have a usual two-digit letter code, it is hand-dated 3-63.

The original rough blonde tolex and wheat grillcloth is present on both the head and cabinet, and the original dogbone handle is present on the head. The cabinet features a replacement Fender dogbone handle with the same mounting hardware, and a second set of thumbscrew inserts has been added to the cabinet (presumably to mount a smaller head like a Bassman). Stock hardware includes the original tilt-back legs, piggyback clip bars, thumbscrews, corners, and flat Fender logos. The Brown Panel faceplate is very clean, with a full complement of original cream barrel knobs.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0550/4437/4714/files/medium_4f85cddd-ec1b-4003-b9a0-7c47e4e1772c.jpg?v=1780445409
https://mmguitarbar.com/products/1963-fender-showman-blonde-brown-panel-vintage-piggyback-tube-amp-1x15-tone-ring-w-jbl-d130f
