Up for sale, a 1963 Fender Princeton in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This genuine vintage Brown Panel era Princeton features a 100% original 6G2-A circuit, loaded with a complete vintage tube set with RCA and Telefunken-branded valves. The Princeton has a tone that is very dynamic and warm, with crystalline clean tones giving way to rich, saturated overdrive when turning up the Volume knob. The circuit is as pure and straightforward as they come, and the single Tone knob has a surprisingly wide range. The bias based tremolo circuit has a strong, dimensional pulse and particularly broad range of speeds too.

The circuit retains the original pair of Schumacher transformers which date to the 7th (power) and 15th (output) weeks of '63, and the preamp has the original blue molded Ajax tone caps, which have a particularly sweet, musical tonal character. The original Stackpole pots are intact, with visible date codes from the 12th week of '63. The power supply retains the original Astron multi-section can cap, still functioning as intended. A three-prong power cable has also been installed. The tube complement includes a matched pair of RCA 6V6 power tubes, an RCA 5Y3 rectifier and preamp tubes from RCA and Telefunken.

The speaker is a gold frame Oxford 10K5 reissue from the early 1990s, an extremely faithful analog to the Oxfords of the early '60s. The tube chart is intact with an "MH" date stamp which translates to August of 1963.

This amp features the original rough brown tolex, regrilled with vintage-spec wheat grillcloth. The stock leather handle is intact, there's extremely restrained wear on the tolex, and the faceplate is very clean, retaining the original brown barrel knobs. Hardware includes the original handle anchors and sphinx glides (feet), with a modern pair of chassis straps.
