Up for sale, a 1958 Gibson ES-125 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a vintage chipboard case. This well-kept ES-125 is a golden-era Gibson, featuring a fully hollow body (16” lower bout width) with arched maple top and back, mahogany rims, and a particularly dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.

The fully hollow construction results in a clear, broad acoustic response with great natural projection and a smooth, punchy quality accentuated by the 12-52 flatwound strings (wound G). Very dynamically responsive, the original P-90 pickup has a glassy treble bite, smooth growl and rich midrange character. It doesn't get any simpler, and for complex Jazz chords or a powerful and present tone for a bit of Americana cut and snarl, this ES-125 is an excellent choice. Weighing 5lbs 14oz, this ES-125 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with easy-playing action and accurate intonation.

The gloss Sunburst nitro lacquer finish exhibits just some tiny nicks and faint finish scratches from very careful use, and a forward strap button has been added to the mahogany rim. The neck profile is free of palm wear, with a few shallow marks on the profile length and one chip on the back top headstock edge.

An era correct faux alligator chipboard case is included. The case has the Gibson badge on the case pocket, clean brown leather trim, functional latches and the original handle.
