Up for sale, a 1957 Gibson Les Paul Junior in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Featuring a Honduran mahogany body and “baseball bat” neck capped by a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, this Les Paul Junior has an authoritative, lively acoustic voice. The P-90 pickup is wound a bit hotter than on 1954-56 examples, metering at 8.55k ohms with rich harmonic content and a touch-sensitive, midrange-forward growl. This instrument feels substantial when digging in hard, with a distinctive glassy top end due in part to the lightweight aluminum wraparound tailpiece. For sweet P-90 tone that can range from chiming cleans to roaring, all out raucousness through a tube amp of choice, this guitar has a versatility and tonal depth that belies its simple appointments. Weighing 7lbs 3oz, this Les Paul Junior has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

There is a professionally-addressed headstock repair extending across the bass side of the headstock on the back and diagonally across the face. There is touch-up on the face, across the original “Les Paul Junior” logo, and light overspray on the back of the peghead. The gloss Sunburst nitro lacquer finish exhibits broad horizontal checking, with various scuffs, nicks and finish chips from honest use. The neck profile retains its smooth nitro gloss.
A modern Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case is included.
